TITANIUM™ PSU-30 is the only modified rubberized asphalt PEEL & STICK with a tough, rugged surface AND the Roofing Industries only SELF-SEALING lap system!
TITANIUM™ PSU-30 is an advanced, slip resistant synthetic polymer surfaced self-adhered membrane roofing underlayment for sloped roof applications subject to the effects of ice damming and wind driven rain. With Micron Dispersion Polymer (MDP) technology, TITANIUM™ PSU-30 rubberized asphalt delivers a unique combination of both high temperature (240°F /115°C) flow resistance, and low temperature (40°F / 4.4 ° C) deck adhesion “ALL TEMP” performance. This is combined with a revolutionary patented slip resistant SURE-FOOT™ nodular walking surface technology, a super tough, durable, and reflective gray synthetic polymer surface, a 3 month UV exposure rating, and an industry leading 30 year limited warranty...all in ONE product!

Unlike other brands with multiple roll offerings for different roof types, a single TITANIUM™ PSU-30 product can be used under all types of roofing materials such as metal, tile, shake, slate and composition shingles. Used in conjunction with TITANIUM™ UDL-30 synthetic roofing underlayment, these 2 products (UDL-30 & PSU-30) offer the sloped roofing category a unique combination of safety, security and simplicity!
TITANIUM™ PSU-30, with its unique construction, provides superior performance in use. Its unique rubberized asphalt formulation helps to prevent buckles or wrinkles when exposed to temperature and moisture variations on a roof, and furthermore, it provides for outstanding flexibility for installation ease. TITANIUM™ PSU-30 is also granular surface free. Loose granules can become a safety hazard, score the underneath of metal roofing systems, and track underneath footing causing damage to metal roofing systems. Granular surfaced membranes also deliver inferior seam overlap strengths and integrity; a critical issue for ice damming and wind driven rain protection. TITANIUM™ PSU-30 possesses an advanced engineered synthetic polymer surface, which forms an indestructible bond at overlapping seams, delivering superior protection. In addition, the revolutionary patented SURE-FOOT™ nodular walking surface provides for increased worker safety in wet and dusty conditions. And TITANIUM™ PSU-30 delivers all this technology in one product! Reduce inventory of multiple roll types and sizes... TITANIUM™ PSU-30 is all you need.
If superior protection and safety performance wasn't enough, TITANIUM™ PSU-30 can also be left exposed for up to 3 months! Increase your job schedule flexibility and efficiency! And similar to TITANIUM™ UDL-30, TITANIUM™ PSU 30 possesses a category leading 30 year limited warranty. Give your valuable primary roofing the insurance it really needs. Specify TITANIUM™ PSU-30!

SURFACE PREPARATION
TITANIUM™ PSU-30 must be installed above properly ventilated areas, as it’s considered a vapor barrier. Apply TITANIUM™ PSU-30 only in fair weather, when the air, membrane and the substrate are at temperature over 40°F (4.4°C). For applications below 40°F check with your local representative. Protect finished work to avoid damage during roof installation and material transportation. Install protective boardwalks over installed roofing materials to enable passage of people and products. Assume full responsibility for any damage. In critical areas, such as the valleys or along the eaves, in climates where severe ice dam is expected, consider using double layer of the TITANIUM PSU-30. Cover the entire roof deck with the underlayment for wind driven rain protection.
TITANIUM™ PSU-30 is laid out horizontally (parallel) to the eave with the printed side up, and with 3” (76 mm) horizontal laps and 6” (152 mm) vertical laps. TITANIUM™ PSU-30 may also be installed vertically. In case of vertical application, it is recommended to use primers that meet ASTM-D-41 requirements. If the nailing of the membrane is necessary on steep slopes, especially on hot weather, back nails and overlap with the next sheet. Following good roofing practice, install membrane so that all laps shed water. Always work from the low point to the high point of the roof and roll from the center outward in both directions. Apply the membrane in valleys before the membrane is applied to the eaves. Cut the membrane into 10 -15 foot (3 – 5 M) lengths and re-roll loosely. Peel back 1-2 feet (300 – 600 mm) of release liner, align the membrane, and continue to peel the release liner from the membrane. Hand press first followed by a heavy pressure roller to smooth and secure the membrane, especially at the overlaps layers. For valleys and ridge applications, peel the release liner; center the sheet over the valley or ridge, drape, and hand press in place followed by a pressure roller. When left exposed prior to application of finish covering, secure membrane in place, carefully sealing the laps, to protect from wind exposure and uplift.
Do not fold TITANIUM™ PSU-30 over the roof edge unless the edge is subsequently covered over by a drip edge or other flashing material. For vertical / side wall applications apply TITANIUM™ PSU-30 above the highest expected snow / ice accumulation line, and always install flashing over the underlayment. Do not install on the chamfered edges of wood planks. Do not install directly over old roof covering. Repair holes, fish mouths, tears, and any other penetration damage to the membrane with a round patch of membrane extending passed the damaged area 6 inches (150 mm) in all directions. If fasteners are removed leaving holes in the membrane or other penetrations are accidentally produced, they must be patched, or warranty is void; the membrane may not self-seal tears and open fastener penetrations. Do not install fasteners through membrane over any unsupported areas of the structural deck, such as over joints between adjacent structural panels. Depending on roof pitch and surface conditions, blocking maybe required to support roofing materials placed on the roof. For extended exposure applications, the surface layer may be slightly discolored. This is normal, and will not affect the product performance. Check with your local TITANIUM™ PSU-30 representative for chemical compatibility with solvents / plasticized based materials.
TITANIUM™ PSU-30 is not designed for indefinite outdoor exposure. Final roofing should be installed within 3 months.

CAUTION - READ GOOD SAFETY PRACTICES BELOW
As with any roofing product, always follow safe roofing codes & practices (OSHA) and always use and wear fall protection devices when working on roofs.
Examples: toe boards, rope and harness, rubber or synthetic soft sole footwear. Use caution when walking or standing on TITANIUM™ PSU-30 as wet and/or dusty conditions may reduce traction. Failure to use proper safety gear and footwear can result in serious injury.
