Gulf Coast Supply & Manufacturing, LLC (“Gulf Coast Supply”), the trusted name in metal roofing products, today announced plans to consolidate its Horseshoe Beach and Alachua locations during the second quarter of 2019 to 14480 N.W. U.S. Highway 441, Alachua, Florida. Customers will be receiving a letter in the coming days outlining the details of the transition.
This plant consolidation is part of a long-term strategic growth initiative to expand the Company’s reach throughout the Southeastern United States. Since 2014, Gulf Coast Supply has opened plants in Sebring, Florida and in Montgomery, Alabama to better position the Company to more effectively service its customers in both existing and new markets.
Harry Yeatman, President, commented, “This move addresses changing market demand by rebalancing our manufacturing capacity into existing facilities to better serve the Company’s customer base. The consolidation will allow us to better execute our growth plan as well as more effectively manage costs.” Yeatman continued, “Our plants are geographically well positioned and capable of ensuring we deliver our high-quality products rapidly and efficiently.”
This consolidation is anticipated to be completed by the end of the third quarter of 2019. Following these actions, Gulf Coast Supply will operate three modern, efficient manufacturing facilities in Sebring and Alachua, Florida, and in Montgomery, Alabama. The Company has approximately 200,000 square feet of manufacturing space in addition to its headquarters location in Jonesville, Florida.
