All the puzzle pieces

Metal panels are only the first piece of a metal roofing system. Metal flashing or trim brings the metal panels together and is required by code in most cases. We produce trim in 10’ sticks, and keep most standard colors and styles stocked. We use computerized machines to manufacture our trim and are able to produce just about any custom shape you might require.

Most building codes require trim to be a minimum 26ga–all of our standard trims are stocked in 26ga only.

Ridge Cap (also used for Hip Cap)

Where metal panels meet at the top of a roof, a ridge cap is used to provide a watertight connection. Butyl tape/sealants, closures (for exposed fastener), and zee flashing (for hidden fastener) are also available. The same ridge cap trim can also be used as a hip cap.

Eave Drip

The bottom edge of a roof section is protected by eave drip and fascia metal (in some cases). Butyl tape/sealants, and closures (for hidden fastener) are also available.

Gable Rake

Where the long side of a panel meets the side of the roof section a gable rake trim is used to seal the panel edge. Butyl tape/sealants, and zee flashing (for hidden fastener) are also available.

Valley Flashing

Where two slopes meet at a low point, a valley flashing is required to provide a continuous drainage path. Butyl tape/sealants, expanding foam (for exposed fastener) and panel starters (for hidden fastener) are also available.

Sidewall and Endwall

Sidewall and endwall trims are installed to provide a watertight transition between a wall and roof section. Butyl tape/sealants, closures (for exposed fastener), and zee flashing (for hidden fastener) are also available.

Transition and Gambrel

Gambrel and transition flashing is used where roof sections change slope. Butyl tape/sealants, closures (for exposed fastener), and zee flashing (for hidden fastener) are also available.

Zee Flashing

Zee flashing is a common component for hidden fastener trims. Rivets with matching paint colors are also available.

Wall Trims

J-channel, drip cap, and drip angle are common wall trims; we also carry outside/inside corners, and other wall trims.

Custom

If it is made from steel or aluminum sheet metal, we can most likely fabricate it. We make custom metal for interior accents, shingle roofs, flat roofs, and any other use you can imagine. If you can sketch it, we’ll see if we can build it.
